FIrst the weight of the air viper I got without the string was 363 gram, so quite a bit more then the 355 that it's suppose to come with, with 1 overgrip we already have a racket that is about 370 gram so not really light as intended. I bought It after trying a friend air viper for a few shots and liked the crisp touch, but playing it in game felt much more demanding, speclay coming from the nox at10 18k which is super a comfortable racket, the viper with the higher balance and longer handle felt harder to move and to play well with. Sure I got some extra power in shots compare to the nox, but the price I paid in my overall game was not worth it. I gave it 3/5 and not less because I can see the appeal it can have for other players.

#5 in Best Padel Rackets for Power 2026#7 in Best Padel Rackets 2026
In shortLight, quick and easy to move, with a crisp, firm feel that most players like at the net and on overheads. The main downsides are a small sweet spot that punishes off-centre hits and a demanding character. Several say it is bigger and more forgiving than the 2025 version, but it suits players with decent technique.

I love the 2026 Air viper more then the 2025 one, I sense the sweet spot is bigger and the racket is more easy to use, the maneuverability is incredible, power I would say 6.5/10 and with a very crisp touch that I enjoy. not suitable for beginners or low intermediate, you need good technique to manage this racket. Flas smash is my favorite with it, balls are coming back to my side with ease.
Bought the Air Viper 2026 coming from a Wilson Endure, worried about the sweet spot. After a couple of games they find it normal and mostly fine, and much bigger than on the Oxdog Ultimate Pro Light they had before.

“I'd say that 2026 sweetspot is decent IMO. Like a normal one.”
A left-handed, aggressive high-intermediate player who tested the Air Viper 2026 against the Oxdog Hyper Pro 2.0. Found the Babolat far more manoeuvrable and much more powerful; it is hard and the sweet spot is small and unforgiving, but being so light they reach the ball in time more often. Calls it a gem, ranked ahead of their Vertex 04 and the Hyper Pro.

“The Babolat, on the other hand, was incredible. Its maneuverability is on another level. It moves extremely fast in defense and at the volley, and it is MUCH more powerful.”
Ridiculously light and fast at the net, volleys feel great. But it is stiff and dry and off-centre hits get punished hard. Fine if you hit clean, not if you're tired.
Compared with the AT10 12K 2026, found the Air Viper light, fast at the net and very good for attacking, with decent viboras. They had many mishits and felt it was unstable blocking fast balls, possibly because they are used to heavy, solid rackets.

“airviper is light fast at net very good for attacking viboras were also ok i felt many miss hits and racket being unstable when blocking fast balls maybe bcz i am used to heavy solid rackets”
Owns the Oxdog Hyper Pro and Hyper Pro+ 2026 but tried a demo Air Viper 2026 for a week and felt better in every respect: a perfectly fine sweet spot, more power than both Oxdogs, sharper and more agile at the net, and a more precise serve. They plan to sell one of the Oxdogs.

“Last week I ordered a demo Babolat Air Viper 2026 for a week and straight away felt a positive difference in every aspect. Sweet spot is totally fine, more powerful than they Hyper pro's”
An aggressive right-side player (about 5.0 on Playtomic) who moved to the Air Viper 2026 after the Oxdog Hyper Pro and Ultimate Tour X, wanting a lighter racket. At about 357 g it accelerates much faster, which suits their quick smash and helps at the net, while staying firm; the small sweet spot hasn't bothered them. The dual-density foam took some getting used to on slow balls, and the finish feels less premium than Oxdog's.
Show quote
“What I gained was exactly what I had been looking for: speed. The Air Viper accelerates noticeably faster in my hand than either of the Oxdogs.”
Left the Metalbone CTRL over its trampoline effect and is loving the new Air Viper: slightly less control, but lighter, more manoeuvrable and clearly more powerful. The sweet spot is bigger than last year's model, though smaller than the CTRL's.

“I went for the new air viper and am loving it. I thought it had similar but maybe slightly less control, more manoeurvable (lightweight) but definitely more power.”
Recently bought the 2026 Air Viper after selling the 2025 version. Finds the 2026 very manoeuvrable and responsive, with better ball output and much more forgiveness; still a stiff touch that needs decent technique, but much nicer than the 2025.

“2026 model is super manoeuvrable, responsive, has better ball output, and a lot more forgiving. It's still a stiffer-touch, requires decent technique, but a lot nicer compared to the 2025 model.”
An upper-beginner who bought the Air Viper 26 after loving a short trial. After the first session they thought they had bought the wrong racket, but after 2–3 sessions they got used to the sweet spot; they see its strictness on bad shots as good for learning.
Show quote
“This racket is like your strict elementary school teacher. When you do things wrong, it tells you immediately what you shouldn't do. So I think its a great racket for learning.”
Too firm for me. Quick to move around, yes, but I want a softer contact than this. The Air name had me expecting an easier racket.
A left-handed right-side player six months into padel who used a friend's Air Viper 2.6 for four months and doesn't like it. The handle feels too thin even with two overgrips, so they grip too tightly and get bicep discomfort, and they find it stiff and not comfortable.
Show quote
“For the last 4 months, I’ve been using a friend’s Babolat Viper Air 2.6, and honestly, I really don’t like it.”
Tried the Air Viper 2026 and the AT10 12K 2026 for two games each and kept the Air Viper because it is lighter and easier to move.
Show quote
“I tried both for two games each and kept the air viper due to the lower weight and easier to move. But the 12k was amazing, way better than the 18k.”
Played the Air Viper 2026 for about two months, looking for a light racket with little trampoline effect. It was great at first on every shot, but became bouncier and less predictable as temperatures changed in summer, even indoors, so they switched to the AT10 12K 2026.
Show quote
“I've been looking for a light racket with little trampoline-effect and I ended up getting the Air Viper, which was great for me initially on all shots, but I noticed that the racket became more bouncy and unpredictable”
Loved a friend's Air Viper 2026 on first try, finding it much easier to move than a Metalbone HRD 3.4. Their own new unit felt different: a harsh sweet spot, wobbling on slight mishits and less power on overheads. They later sold it, concluding that units vary in feel.
Show quote
“The racket wobbles on slightest of sweet spot miss hit and feels less powerful on overheads as well (in comparison to the one I tried).”
Moved from the Ultimate Tour X, which felt too heavy, to the Air Viper 2026 and found it an upgrade: lighter, with the dry feel they wanted; they note the 2025 version feels very different.
Show quote
“I was exactly in the same boat as you I used the Ultimate Tour X, but felt too heavy, therefore I moved on to the Babolat Air Viper 2026(2025 feels way different) For me it was an upgrade,”
A player who has owned three Air Vipers says the Babolat Air Viper 2026 has improved a lot over earlier versions' small sweet spot: much lighter than their Kombat Fuji, dry feel, precise, medium balance and great overhead.

“He tenido 3 palas de airviper. Las primeras versiones me molaban pero el punto dulce fue bastante pequeño. Acabo de probar la de 2026 y ha mejorado mucho.”
Switched from the AT10 18K 2025 to the Air Viper 2026: light and easy to control, deadly in attack once used to it, with a sweet spot that isn't the biggest.
Show quote
“the racket is light so easy to control, the only downside is the sweetspot isnt the biggest but once you get used to the racket its deadly in attack.”
A 1.5–1.8 level player found it great for the first few weeks, but lately they've lost the feel on volleys and it hasn't been good for blocking at the net.

“My current padel racket is Babolat Air Viper 2026. The first few weeks of using it, the racket was great however lately I haven't gotten the feel of the racket anymore”
Tried the Air Viper 2026 and it gave them wrist issues straight away because of too much vibration; after a few games they went back to their round racket.
Show quote
“I tried the Babolat Air Viper 2026 but it instantly gave me wrist issues. There's just too much vibration for me.”
They find it definitely not a hard racket, and they blocked better with their previous Nox AT10 12K.
Show quote
“Air Viper is definitely not a hard racket IMO. I’d used NOX AT10 12K 2026 before Air Viper and I block better with it.”
Tried the Air Viper 2026 and loves it at the net and overhead, especially viboras, but at the back under pressure or returning serve their control is lacking compared with a Vertex Hybrid.
An advanced player of five years who plays three times a week calls it a pretty good racket with great manoeuvrability. The only thing they struggled with at first was finding the sweet spot.
Uses the Air Viper 2.6 and finds its sweet spot bigger than the 2.5.

“Currently I use the Air Viper 2.6 (bigger sweetspot compare with 2.5).”
Borrowed an Air Viper for three sessions, then bought the 2026: exactly what they wanted, light with a high balance.

“after 3 sessions I bought the 2026 for myself. It’s pretty much exactly what I’ve been looking for.”
Owns the Air Viper 2.6 and finds the sweet spot larger and the handle longer than on the previous version.
