In shortPlayers describe it as powerful, especially on smashes, with a firm, dry feel and good control for those who can handle it. It is demanding, heavy and hard to manoeuvre in defence for many. Several report cracking, sometimes within weeks. Suits strong, technical attackers.

Owned both and kept the Fenix Pro 5 over the softer, floatier 2025 Air Viper. It has the medium-hard, dry feel of the 2023 Air Viper, moderate ball output, lots of control, and plenty of power on overheads and attacking volleys.
“La Fénix 5 pro tiene una dureza parecida a la Air Viper 2023 y tacto parecido, salida de bola no excesiva pero a mí me gusta, controlas mucho la bola....super manejable si encuentras una unidad ligera”
Loves the feel after two months; it made their kick smash more consistent.
“i love the fenix pro 5 black it has less raw power than metalbone but i love the feel”
Tried it: blown away by the smash, but the slippery surface lacked control in defence.
“I found it fantastic in attack I found it lacked control in defense.”
