In shortPlayers describe a control racket with a large, forgiving sweet spot and little trampoline effect, liked for its dry touch and manoeuvrability. Downsides are units heavier than listed, firmness that gave some elbow or arm pain, and smashes needing more effort. Some remove the stock grip to cut weight.

Their Vertex 05 Hybrid 2026 weighed 386 g out of the box; after removing the Hesacore and using two overgrips it is 364 g and has never given them arm pain. Lighter, it lacks a little power but is very manoeuvrable at the net.
“Mine came in at 386g out of the box. After removing the hesacore and just using 2 overgrips it’s now 364g which is perfect and I’ve never once had arm pain with it.”
Uses the Vertex 05 Hybrid 2026: big sweet spot, medium balance and good manoeuvrability, with a hardness between the Counter Veron and Counter Viper.
“Im currently using the Bullpadel Vertex 05 Hybrid 26 and it sounds exactly like what you are looking for; Big sweet spot, medium balance, good maneuverability.”
Owns the Vertex Hybrid 2026 and an ST4 Pro: the Hybrid is a great all-rounder, less head-heavy, more manoeuvrable with a massive sweet spot and less rebound, still powerful.
“Vertex Hybrid 2026 is just a great all rounder, less head heavy, more manoeuvrable and massive sweet spot.”
Compared the Vertex 05 Hybrid 2026 with the Metalbone CTRL and AT10 18K 2026: very good sweet spot and the clear winner for manoeuvrability.
Swapped the Vertex 05 Hybrid's Hesacore for a thinner grip, bringing it to 352.7 g; it feels like a different racket, lighter and more offensive, and they like it far better.
“I end up with a 352.7g vertex 05 hybrid. The feel completely changes too. I like it way better.”
